CO2 Transport

After being subjected to high pressure in a compressor, the CO2 to be transported flows along a dedicated pipeline to an offshore platform.

The approx. 40 cm diameter transport pipeline mainly follows the route of existing oil and gas pipelines at around 1 metre under the sea bed. This increases to 12 metres at the point it crosses the Maasgeul channel.
